A new direction

My first week of this new semester is done for me. As I'm looking back at everything that happened this week, I'm very happy with what I see. This new semester is going to be full of new things: new classes, new opportunities, new challenges...I'm just really excited for it to get rollin'.

I'm taking an Advanced Reporting class this semester, and today's class was devoted to talking about blogging. After hearing what the professor had to say, I realized I need to let more of myself shine through. This is my space to show the world who the real Katelyn is...and to not be afraid, or intimidated, or feel incompetent.

So, hopefully you will begin to see some changes around here. Not so much in the visual aspect...for now that's going to pretty much be the same. But my gosh, the title of my blog is The Write Direction. I feel like I need to focus on my writing right now! That's where the true me will come out first. The rest is sure to follow after that.

Also going along with this blog's title, I think that I need to take my blog in specific direction. Right now, my posts are kind of all over the place, with no main focus. Or, if there is a focus, it's definitely not on purpose!

One thing I'm noticing is a lot of my posts are about college life...which makes sense because that is my life currently. I think that would be a good focus for my blog, so that it can become a place for other college bloggers to come and discuss life. Stay tuned for the changes to come!
